about

eddie is the worst so you don't have to be.

composer, performer, educator, activist, imagination repairman.

Eddie believes in the power of imagination, and through a variety of creative mediums, he pursues the rejuvenation of this innate human characteristic in order to inform, connect, and heal. Currently, Eddie teaches privately and performs throughout upstate NY and the greater Tri-State area. He is the creator of the fluid improvisation ensemble, Pigbutchering, which engages with motif-driven improvisation and non-traditional written compositions. Recently, Eddie was a festival composer at the Mostly Modern Festival in Saratoga Springs, NY and premiered a new work with the American Modern Ensemble.

Eddie’s music runs the gamut from experimental improvisation to classical performance. He produces and performs original music ranging from orchestral and chamber works, to avant-garde rock, hip-hop, R&B, and aleatoric works. He spent a large part of his early musical endeavors studying and performing 19th century German Lieder and music spanning the eras of the Medieval period to the late Baroque.

Eddie has been a live performance and session drummer, keyboardist, singer, bassist, producer, arranger, and composer for over twenty years. He is an avid reader of non-fiction, poetry, and historical documents. Much of the music he creates is influenced and inspired by historical incidence, alternative methods of social organization, labor history, collective human ethos, and the powerful machinations of the world's dynamics, institutions, and systems.
